I can't believe the day is already here!!!  I am so excited and I'm not sure how I will sleep tonight.  Hope everyone has a wonderful, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!  Any last minute advice for me?  I have surgery at 7:30 am at UCSF.

Thanks,
Charity

Last minute advice: remember not to eat or drink too late, make sure you take a pillow to the hospital, and relax, sit back, and get ready for a wild ride!

Congatulations!!!

Have a great surgery!  Tomorrow will be a sleep day for you.  You may want to have a pillow, in the car, when you come home.  I felt every single bump and ripple in the freewary.  I held a pillow against me for several months in the car.  Very comfy.

Hit the pain pump or ask for a pain pill about an hour before discharge. It will make the ride home much easier.

Thanks everyone!  I plan on loading on the pain pill before I make that journey.  I have a 2 1/2 hour drive to my parents house, to see my kids!  Thank you all for you thoughts and prayers.  I will post when I get home.  Happy Thanksgiving...gobble, gobble, gobble~

Hey Charity,

Good luck tomorrow!!!!!!!!!  You are not going to feel like eating alot, I had a total meltdown on Dec 23rd 2 years ago coming up.  My family was celebrating my dad's birthday and I was pissed, and sick because I had surgery 12 days before that.  Two years later!  One hundred seventy pounds from then, wooohooo, it was worth every little nerve that went haywire on my meltdown.  You will do great, take it easy, it is major surgery, just sip your water, you won't be able to get all you need in right away, and please follow what your doctors says.

Good luck and Happy Thanksgiving.  Diane
